BROWSERS
Whenever we use the terms ‘logging on to the Internet’, ‘browsing’, or ‘surfing the Internet’, we generally mean using the system’s browser. The word “browser” has had a circumstantial coining since the Internet as a whole is a collection of Web pages, and when we surf the Internet we actually browse a variety of Web pages—hence the word browser.
